(i know im gonna sound crazy for asking this but i really wanna know!! is it possible to find either a persian,Himalayan or scottish fold cats in a shelter?)
Answer:
It is possible. It is even more likely to find them in these financially troubled times, as more and more families lose their homes to foreclosure, and cannot always keep their pets.
Often there are breed specific rescue groups, so try running a search for that. They may or may not have any pets of those specific breeds in your area. Also, try Petfinder.com - it lets you search for specific breeds of animals in shelters all over.
Checking out the breed rescues may be a good idea, though. Because reputable breeders will often take back any pet they have sold, should the owners be unable to keep it, for whatever reason. I imagine that they would list their older, adoptable, returned pets with the breed rescues, rather than turning them in to shelters.
