(I have a 4 month old kitten who appears to be a mix of short-hair and long-hair domestic; I'm told that the long-hair breeds such as Maine coon and Norwegian forest cats mature quite slowly; any details would be welcome.)
Answer:
I have had many Maine Coons and it seems like everything they do is slower than my other cats. Not in a bad way its just like they are more relaxed, more likely just to strut around the house or nap in the sunshine outside. While my other cats go crazy running and jumping and chasing things. But Coons are very smart they learn very well so litter box training should be very easy. But be careful with this becuase say you allow them on your bed all the time which is fine I love sleeping with 40lb cats lol. Then when I'm sick or doing homework and dont want them on my bed forget it they are the most persistant animals I have ever seen! I will push them down 30 times before I finally give up!! They are very loyal cats kind of like dogs, and two of mine loved playing fetch. I know its wierd but they are a very unique breed of cats.
